Broadway houses (wistful thinking)

It's good to have goals. Like many a theater nerd, I'd like to see at least one show in every Broadway theater. As of today, I'm still missing 10. And I'm not going to see Chicago, Jersey Boys, Mama Mia (saw on tour), Spiderman, or Wicked (saw on tour), so I'll have a long wait for those last 5. Well, it's good to have goals anyway.

  1. I'm so close (4 left!), but Mary Poppins, Lion King, Sister Act, and Jersey Boys are screwing me up! Some day...

  2. I saw Lion King. The opening scene is fantastic. And the stampede, too. I'm not opposed to Mary Poppins, but it's not high on my list. I'm waiting for Sister Act to go away. Jersey Boys will probably never go away, but I'm hoping!

  3. I'm seeing the Jersey Boys tour tomorrow (for $30 & local, may as well), so the chances of ever seeing it on Broadway are even less than zero for me at this point! I'm not firmly opposed to Lion King/Mary Poppins...I've just never been interested enough to spend *that* much money and waste the time seeing those. Sister Act...well, maybe if it were free? At least that one I'm sure will go away sooner rather than later ;)

  4. I'm with you Touchofgr3y. I have 5 left but I am going to see Ghost this month so I can finally get the Lunt. Still need August Wilson, New Amsterdam, Palace, and Majestic. I actually got the Minskoff pre-Lion King with The Scarlet Pimpernel! I might just go see Mary Poppins. I always liked the Sherman brothers music.
